Do you have a Braccanza dog that you would like to see on here? If the answer is yes then you are more than welcome to send me pictures and a short write up for inclusion on this page.
You don't have to have a show dog or working dog - your best mate is just as welcome.

Braccanza Levante

The photos below are of Taz in action at the Scotland Pointing Test, 29th March 2008

Below are a couple of pics of Taz taken by Mick Cooper at WELKS, 26th April 2008
This was the first time the Bracco had breed classes at an all breed Championship show.

Over the past two years Taz has proved himself both in the show ring and in the working field. He has just started his third season with the Rushmore shoot, Dorset. He is steady in the field. He has an extremely keen nose, and holds a point beautifully. This dog does not balk at thick cover. He has become a favourite with all involved on our local shoots. He has a great character. He is full of fun and very loving but has a sensitive nature. A dog that wants nothing more than to please.
He has also done very well in the show ring.

Wording from Lucy & Marcus Green

Like all lucky owners of a Bracco we adore our boy.
We came across the breed first of all when we met Gino at Discover Dogs at Crufts. We were smitten and our dear friend Gaynor put us in touch with Jan.
We visited Della's previous litter, who were all spoken for and put our names down for a puppy there and then.
After almost 2 years of anticipation waiting for a bitch puppy we fell in love with Cosmo at first sight.
We always hoped our puppy would find us and just knew he was the one.
As Esta's brother from a litter of just 2 he is sprinkled with a little bit of magic.
He is kind and gentle but possessed of a
willfulness & determination that manifests itself in a voracious appetite for life.
1st in puppy dog class at LKA 2007 & best puppy in both AVNSC & Rare Breeds at Manchester he has been described as having great promise in the show ring.
All our friends adore him - even the post lady brings him treats!
For us we love him whether he is out in the fields, by my side at work or asleep in front of the fire.
We can't thank Jan enough for our boy - or Rod for letting him go.

Cosmo was placed 1st in PGD at the Bracco Italiano breed show on 12th October 2008.
The judge was Doc G. Mentasti (Italy)

Saffi, born January 2006, lives in Cornwall. She is a sensitive girl, good natured and with a great sense of fun. Saffi is pretty laid back around the house and spends her evenings curled up in her bed or on our lap! However when she is out on a walk she has lots of energy and just loves to run and hunt but she always comes back to check we are not too far behind and responds really well to a whistle when necessary. Birds are her particular favourite and she stalks them avidly but never manages to catch up with them before they fly away. She is't a morning dog! - she enjoys staying in bed as long as possible particularly at the weekends. She is very curious and is always keen to be in the centre of the action. Saffi has done a little showing and is a very steady dog, particularly good at obedience. We are having fun taking her to gundog training and hope to do some agility with her this Summer. Saffi is our first Bracco and we really enjoy having her as part of our family.

Luca is our lovely boy and he is just 2 years old.
He loves life and enjoys his showing and gundog training.

On his very first outing he won Best Puppy in his breed at Ardingly.
Then in just 2 Championship Shows at WELKS and Windsor he won 3 firsts and Reserve Best Dog in his breed, qualifying for Crufts.

Judges Comments Windsor 2011
“Lovely Roman nose & head planes, super shape & construction really appealed”
“good head and expression, easy active mover, plenty of drive, good coat and condition, sympathetically handled”
Thank you Jan
for all your wonderful help and advice

Luca’s hip scores are 2:2, elbows 0:0, and he is eye tested clear.

His inbreeding coefficient (COI) is 2%, well under the breed coefficient of 3.8%.

He is available for stud to registered and health tested bitches
with a low predicted inbreeding coefficient with his lines.
